Getting Started with Agile

So you're in some kind of role, where it "has been decided" that the scope will be delivered in an Agile manner and you need a crash course in Agile. I make an assumption that you'll be acting in some kind of consultancy role where you will be expected to have a viewpoint and potentially drive its adoption. The below is for you.

Still Deciding Which Approach to Use?

 Preliminary Reading

  • The Agile Manifesto - a declaration of guiding principles. Excuse the late 90s style webpage.
  • The Scrum Guide - 13 pages. If you're using scrum, this is the BEST short guide to the Scrum implementation of Agile, written by Ken and Jeff (two of the founding signatories) themselves.
  • VIDEO: Scrum in 10 Mins - best vid I could find on the web. Slightly different to the Scrum guide, as it does into some detail about use of Agile Estimation
